Meet Owen Atwebembire
About me
My name is Owen Atwebembire. I was born in Bwizibwera Town, Mbarara District, on April 08, 2002. From an early age, I have been driven by a deep spiritual curiosity and a strong desire to contribute positively to the lives of those around me.
As the Moderator for Kampala, I play a key role in facilitating discussions, coordinating activities, and ensuring the smooth flow of our ministry’s programs in the region. Additionally, I oversee the distribution of Urantia Books, a task I hold dear as part of spreading the light of truth and wisdom. I am also responsible for the design and maintenance of our ministry’s website, ensuring our digital presence reflects our mission and vision effectively.
A spiritual seeker at heart, I find immense joy in studying and sharing the teachings of Jesus while actively giving back to the community. My passion lies in uplifting others through service, collaboration, and education. As part of Loving Light and Life Ministries, I am dedicated to creating opportunities for individuals to grow spiritually, connect meaningfully, and embrace a life of love, light, and service.
My Journey to Becoming a Urantia Book Reader
It all began when I was conducting research over the internet, searching for answers to some of life’s deeper questions. That’s when I stumbled upon something extraordinary—the Urantia Book. Intrigued by its title, I decided to look it up and find out what it was all about.
What immediately captured my attention was that the book delved deeply into the life and teachings of Jesus. This resonated with my spiritual curiosity, and I knew I had to learn more.
Fortunately, I connected with some wonderful friends from Canada who were well-versed in the teachings of the Urantia Book. They were kind enough to guide me, and we joined several Zoom meetings with people from all walks of life, each sharing their unique experiences with the book.
To my surprise, most of the people I met were much older than me. At first, I thought the Urantia Book was only for those who had grown up, haha! But when I asked, they shared that they had also started reading it at a young age. That realization inspired me and gave me a sense of belonging.
Motivated by this new understanding, I decided to take a step further and start a group in Uganda called The Young Generation in Outreaching Urantia. Through this group, we’ve been able to gather like-minded individuals and organize outreaches in schools, sharing the teachings of the Urantia Book with young people.
This journey has been transformative for me, and I look forward to continuing this mission of spreading truth, light, and love to the next generation.
